Safety solutions at the new Fahrenheit Logistics Netherlands BV distribution centre
Fahrenheit Logistics Netherlands BV, a leading distribution company and part of the Famalco Group, required robust, durable and visually appealing safety solutions to protect both employees and infrastructure in their new distribution centre from intensive forklift traffic. Boplan delivered and installed various protection products, including bollards, safety barriers, and kick rails, which make a significant contribution to the safety and efficiency of the working environment. Challenge
This prominent logistics service provider was seeking robust, durable and aesthetically pleasing safety solutions for their new distribution centre in Breda. The facility required a solid approach to avoid safety incidents and protect the infrastructure, gates and columns from collision damage.
Due to the heavy forklift traffic and fragile infrastructure, Fahrenheit Logistics relied on Boplan’s expertise to secure their workspace with innovative and impact-resistant products. The high-quality products from the FLEX IMPACT® range, including safety barriers, column protection and bollards, proved to be the ideal solution. In addition, we equipped the freezer rooms with products from the ICE FLEX® range. These products can withstand extreme temperatures (-30°C).

Our safety solutions
After an extensive analysis of Fahrenheit Logistics's needs, we installed a combination of products from our FLEX IMPACT® and ICE FLEX® ranges.
Bollards
Fahrenheit Logistics wanted safety products that would not need to be replaced after a collision. As our safety solutions are extremely impact-resistant and flexible, they absorb the impact and return to their original position after impact. A feature that is useful for bollards or protection bollards that protect gates, entrances and openings. In the distribution centre, we installed protection bollards from the FLEX IMPACT® range. These bollards absorb the impact of collisions so that no structural damage is caused to the infrastructure, vehicles, or the protection bollards themselves, avoiding repair costs and downtime.
We installed bollards from our ICE FLEX® range in the freezer rooms. These safety solutions offer the same robust protection as FLEX IMPACT®, with the added benefit that the products remain flexible and reliable, even at temperatures well below freezing (-30°C). Our safety barriers, protection bollards, and other safety products protect pedestrians and infrastructure from risks, even in the coldest parts of the facility.
Kick rails
In addition to protecting gates and columns, we wanted to ensure that the walls of the distribution centre remained protected from the impact of forklift forks and wheels. For this reason, we installed special kick rails along the walls and lower sections of the infrastructure. These kick rails provide a robust barrier that prevents forklift wheels and forks from hitting and damaging the walls.
